Standard Newels
The standard newel has been a main stay in homes for generations. They are timelessly classical while serving an important function to stabilize railing sections. Most of our standard newels have an upper block, lower block, a rounded turning and urn in the middle, and an ornamental mushroom top or ball top.
Pin top posts are for “Over the top” rail sections.
All photos below are of standard unfinished Red Oak species. Poplar variations are also available for painting. Other wood species are considered custom.
All 48” or 59” Tall with 3” bottom block. Only bottom blocks vary in height.
