Cable Lock Kits

The cable look was popularized throughout the west coast of the United States during the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. The industrial appeal had a post-modern vibe that already utilized cement floors, steel fixtures, hanging spotlights and uplights, and oversized art canvases. Artists, especially, adopted cable within their homes to separate themselves from traditional styles found in the rest of the country.

Of course, when any trend is popularized, it becomes tradition. And much to the chagrin of those artistic innovators, they are left to find another look to adopt (hint: vertical balusters including vertical cabling).

Which brings us to our cable kits.

Cables are not strung together and tied to hooks and eye-bolts anymore. Advanced engineering created tension locks to help ease the installation process.

Our kits come with varying lengths of cable (3/16” and 1/8”), a pair of tension and pull locks for each strand of cable, and pull lock release key. The grade of the steel is 316, which can be used indoors or outdoors.

It is important to specify where the cable lock will be attached. Wood or Steel? All kits come in one or the other.

Are you attaching it to plastic, stone/brick, cement, or something else? It’s best to do some research before purchasing.

The examples shown below are all wood locks attached to wood posts.

Cable lengths come in 5’, 10’, 15’, 20’, or 25’. Contact us for longer lengths

Considered the “invisible” cable fitting that can be use for both level and rake.

Not only does the 8101 kit work with both wood or steel (or any other material for that matter), but it is the cleanest looking compared to the other cable lock.

This is the only kit that comes with washers and ferrules.
